Does are due to kid March 5, 2014. All the kids will be disbudded & tattooed w/BAM=Blessings A Mini Herdname (if purchasing a registrable kid.) Will be ready for pick-up at 8 weeks old when they are weaned. We reserve the right to retain kids at our discretion.

We like the Herbal Mineral mix recipe for goats from Land of Havilah.  Fir Meadow also has a Copper & Selenium herbal mixture called Kop-Sel and  a GI Soother for prevention or remedy of Coccidia, barberpole, diarrhea, bacteria, and ulcers that we like to give the kids as a preventative since they start tasting everything in the yard.

Welcome to our site!  We have a small homestead where we raise chickens and mainly miniature goats. We live in a temperate climate where people & pets enjoy mild weather all year long. We breed Nigerian Dwarf, Mini LaMancha, and Alpine (for mini alpine kids) every year and accept reservations for the upcoming kids. We're excited to be introducing new genetics to our Nigerian Dwarf herd. Should be arriving to our farm the spring of 2014. These Nigerian Dwarfs are  bred to have large teats for hand milking and produce copious amounts of creamy milk! They also come from champion show & dairy lines! Be on the lookout for 2015 kids!

We feed all our animals Organic/Non-Gmo grains, hay, alfalfa and goodies. The goats and chickens are also wormed herbally using Molly's Herbals. All our goats are from CAE/CL Negative herds and we also vaccinate our goats for CL as an added precaution since our area is such a damp climate, it can potentially harbor CL for as much as two years in the environment. We keep basically a closed herd, so, therefore, we do not rent our bucks out for stud.  On the occasion that we do purchase a new goat, it will be only from tested disease-free herds.  We typically do not sell bottle babies because we feel for at least the first 2 months, the kids need their moms and the mom's need their kids. The health of our animals is top priority since they are a source of milk and eggs for our family and because all our animals are also loved pets and we want to see them live a long, healthy life!
